Welcome to the Council for Unity homepage

	Council for Unity, a national non-profit organization founded in 1975, has a history of successfully promoting inter-group relations and reducing violence in schools and communities. By implementing school-based and after-school programs in leadership development, mentoring, career, college guidance and gang prevention, the Council fulfills its' mission of empowering individuals and groups with the skills necessary to promote unity, safety and achievement. Council for Unity network is comprised of 60 schools and community centers in New York City, Long Island, Boys and Girls Clubs of America in Texas and California. Council for Unity also has a college chapter at The University of Vermont and has gone international with its chapter in Balti High School in Balti, Moldva. We actively help over 80,000 young people everyday!
