This year, Council for Unity is proud to celebrate four extraordinary honorees whose leadership, vision, and commitment embody what it means to be a Champion for Children:

Nikolas DeSena – Champion for Children Award. CEO of U.S. Dynamics and a lifelong member, dedicated supporter, and longtime Board Member of Council for Unity. Nik’s connection to CFU spans his entire life, and throughout the years he has generously contributed his time, leadership, resources, and advocacy to advancing its mission.

Marlon Greer – Champion for Children Award. CEO of FLI TV and a dedicated community leader and mentor, recognized for his tireless work in guiding young people toward brighter futures, building stronger schools, and creating safer neighborhoods.

Aaron Barnette – Excellence in Education Award. Director of Strategic Partnerships & Mentoring for the Eagle Schools network, he is a NYC leader who has worked to strengthen student achievement and build safer, more supportive school communities, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Honorable Doris Ling Cohan – President’s Award for Community Impact. Former justice of the New York State Supreme Court, she is a Council for Unity Board Member, and is recognized for her distinguished service as a jurist and community leader, and for her dedication to justice, equity, and empowering communities.
